Bruce Kinosian, MD, Wins Best Paper/Poster Award

At the Presidential Poster Award ceremony, AAHCP member Dr. Bruce Kinosian of the University of Pennsylvania was selected as the 2004 paper/poster award winner for his paper "ElderPACT: A Housecall Program Teamed with an Area Agency on Aging to Provide Coordinated Chronic Care Management." This program, managed by nurse practitioner and AAHCP board member Jean Yudin, partners the house call program based in an academic integrated health system with an area agency on aging to provide a service spectrum similar to the Program for All-Inclusive Care of Elders (PACE). The beneficial results on Medicare costs, nursing home placements, and hospital days were studied and described.
